King Christian School (KCS) is looking for a finance professional, with great interpersonal skills, to look after the financial administration of the school.
This position requires a self-directed individual who has day to day interaction with the Principal and works with the Treasurer and Finance Committee on the strategic financial position of KCS. Responsibilities include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly forecasting, year end preparation, and donor/parent relations as they relate to finance. Approximately 18 hours per week, with flexible office hours at KCS between 8:30am to 4:30pm. Work hours are typically at KCS with some potential to work from home. Requires one evening per month for Finance Committee as well as on-site finance support for fundraising events. Compensation between $26.15 to $32.86 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time position that does not include pension or benefits.
The ideal candidate has a certificate or degree in accounting, business or a related field. Minimum of three years experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting. Experience working with a non-profit organization and Quickbooks would be beneficial. A financial designation would be an asset, but is not a requirement.
