GIVE Volunteer Program

At King Christian School we believe in working together as a school community to accomplish God’s greater good. To help keep school tuition costs down and see the school thrive, KCS depends on the help of volunteers. The GIVE program was established to manage and keep track of volunteer hours. Each family at KCS is required to give a minimum of 30 hours for the 2023/2024 school year; with 25 hours going to school support and 5 hours to be completed in fundraising. Uncompleted hours will be calculated at $50/hour. Families who complete all 30 hours by June 8, 2024, will have their $1500 GIVE cheque returned to them. New Online Volunteer System
We will be moving to a new online software system (OnVolunteers) to make it easy for families to participate in the GIVE program. The new system automates and simplifies the volunteer process. There is no fee for families to use this system.
Each family will have their own unique password-protected website, aka ‘Parent Portal’. From within your own portal, you will be able to:
- Easily view and quickly sign-up for available volunteer tasks.
- Automatically track the tasks you have signed up for or have been assigned. You do not have to manually submit service hours for volunteer positions – unless noted – as the software tracks it for you.
- Know your real-time service hours total (pending or verified), any time.
- Receive/send messages from and to the GIVE admin team regarding service-related matters, all from within your Parent portal.
